The internationally renowned
cartoon character shows that have generated loads of fun for children during
the on-going “Summer is Dubai” campaign have made a huge impact at Dubai
Festival City Mall as well with the mall being overwhelmed by the huge response
to the "Dora
the Explorer" show
taking place daily until 21st August.
Children
and parents alike have been gathering in large numbers to witness the
thrice daily shows of Dora the Explorer and her best friend Boots the
monkey at Dubai Festival City Mall at
5pm, 7pm and 8.30pm, and they were
not being disappointed as the world
famous cartoon character put up a superb act each time they came on stage.
In fact,
no sooner the show commenced, children quickly got into the fun mood due to the
interactive nature of this internationally acclaimed show that includes lots of
dancing and singing.
The show is about the time when Dora and her best
friend Boots went to a carnival, how they won 10 yellow tickets and how they
opened The Big Pinata. In the course of their adventurous journey, little
Dora and Boots explore and learn about their surroundings, and overcome
challenges on the way to their final goal of opening The Big Pinata such as
negotiating the ferris wheel and then the merry-go-round. When Dora and Boots
eventually win, the Big Pinata opens, with loads of colourful, yummy treats
spilling out of it much to their delight and that of the kids watching them in
action.
“Summer is Dubai” is a 3-month campaign of the Dubai
Festivals and Retail Establishment, an agency of the Department of Tourism and
Commerce Marketing aimed at positioning Dubai as the summer destination of
choice. The campaign, which ends on 7th September, has created
memorable moments for families with different phases that focused on the key
features of Dubai’s summer season - Dubai Summer Surprises, Modhesh World, Ramadan
in Dubai and Eid in Dubai.
